Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

MEMORI ("we," "us," or "our") provides a private, family-only memory journal for parents to record their child’s early years. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to memori.app and any subdomains or applications we operate that link to this Policy.

By using MEMORI you agree to the practices described here. If anything below is unclear, write to us at the address listed in Section 10 — we read every message ourselves.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

Account information — the email address and password you provide at signup, plus display name and avatar if you choose to add them.

Child profile information — your child’s first name, date of birth, and any notes or relationships you choose to record (siblings, caregivers).

Journal entries — the text, dates, photos, and audio you save to your child’s timeline.

Family circle — the email addresses of family members you invite, so we can deliver their invitation and let them view (only) what you’ve shared.

Billing metadata — when you upgrade, our payment processor records the transaction; we do not see or store your card number.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use what you entrust to us to provide MEMORI: render your child’s timeline, sync it across your devices, show invited family members what you’ve shared, and process subscriptions you authorize.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your child’s journal entries to train AI models. We do not run advertising and we do not share your data with ad networks.

We may use aggregated, non-identifying statistics (e.g. "1,200 memories were saved this week") to understand how MEMORI is used and to plan capacity.

4. Your Family Circle

When you invite someone into your family circle, we send them an invitation email and create a limited account that can view the memories you’ve shared with that circle. Invited members do not see billing information, account settings, or anything you have not explicitly shared.

You can remove a member at any time; their access ends immediately. Invited members can request deletion of the data they themselves uploaded while in your circle.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored with a reputable cloud provider in the United States, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to a small number of authorized engineers bound by confidentiality.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a memory, it is removed from active storage within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can export every memory, photo, and profile field as a downloadable archive at any time.

You can delete any single memory, an entire child profile, or your entire account from the account settings screen.

If you ask, we will tell you exactly what personal data we hold about you and your child, and we will correct anything that is wrong.

To exercise any of these rights, write to the address listed in Section 10.

7. Children’s Privacy

MEMORI is designed for parents. The account holder is always a parent or legal guardian; the child profiles are managed by that adult. We do not knowingly collect information directly from minors.

We do not run third-party advertising on MEMORI and we do not permit behavioural tracking on pages where a child’s profile is open. We treat children’s photos and personal notes as especially sensitive and handle them accordingly.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use only the cookies strictly required to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies tied to your child’s profile, or third-party tracking pixels.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make a material change — for example, a new category of data we collect or a new way we share it — we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect so you can review, export, or delete your data.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
